And so, dear readers, I embark upon further adventure amidst what can only be surmised, from your own various writings, as incompetence, foolery and opportunity for murder...

All in all, I think I shall feel rather at home.

In the course of writing this, however, 'twould be considerate for me to make of myself an introduction, no? To that end, you may know me as Morrigan. A name which, so I am told, will mean precious little to you - and be thankful for it, lest you wish to live by aimless superstition.

I am also told you know nothing of the Chantry, Templars or the like. That you've mages who've the good sense to remain free of authority's shackles. In this, I am sure we would find agreement, for subjugation is no fertile soil for the nurturing of empowerment.

I admit, being summoned by the title of... Warden will take a little getting used to. In truth, I would prefer this not to be the case, if this can be helped. It has a very particular association in my world. A profession I would prefer not to be thought of as being part of, even if once aligned with.

This shall be the end of my use for quill and paper, I think, for now.

I don't think we used as a title, madame. At least not formally. I am a warden but not Warden St. Just. So I don't think it should trouble you too much. As a group, we are wardens and I suppose your inmate may call you 'warden,' but you can always ask him or her to use your name or whatever title you prefer. I certainly don't go around asking for Warden So-and-So.

Then, Armand, my concerns have been eased. I find no names within the profession I would recognise, as residing here. One can only assume they either do not or have no desire to be found.

A good thing, too... Lest we find ourselves standing deep in war hound dung.

My level of worry depends greatly upon the level of competence of those around me - and their motivations.

Should I have reason to find them troubling? What I have read, so far, does not fill me with the greatest of ease...

People here are troubling by nature. This is a prison ship.

But my former inmate is being a jerk--that's too mild a word in most ways but I also understand his feelings in this. It was my job to understand his side of things until far too recently.

And I've gotten nothing but derision and abuse for saying anything. Probably because they didn't like what I had to say.

I either need a drink, a vacation or a--no, I'd best not say that even in jest.

I would say that what you need is perspective.

One does not leap over chasms on a whim. Not without expectations of a fall. Step back, take stock of what you know and decide on what must be changed.

When faith in yourself is at a loss, then success is clearly to be found through a different approach.
