Matters Of Introduction

And so, dear readers, I embark upon further adventure amidst what can only be surmised, from your own various writings, as incompetence, foolery and opportunity for murder...

All in all, I think I shall feel rather at home.

In the course of writing this, however, 'twould be considerate for me to make of myself an introduction, no? To that end, you may know me as Morrigan. A name which, so I am told, will mean precious little to you - and be thankful for it, lest you wish to live by aimless superstition.

I am also told you know nothing of the Chantry, Templars or the like. That you've mages who've the good sense to remain free of authority's shackles. In this, I am sure we would find agreement, for subjugation is no fertile soil for the nurturing of empowerment.

I admit, being summoned by the title of... Warden will take a little getting used to. In truth, I would prefer this not to be the case, if this can be helped. It has a very particular association in my world. A profession I would prefer not to be thought of as being part of, even if once aligned with.

This shall be the end of my use for quill and paper, I think, for now.

'Tis a most unusual place, indeed...

Madam, your pen and ink go not unused in principle, simply because they go unused in practice.

And nor should they.

[identity profile] accountsettled.livejournal.com 2011-04-06 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
A great shame indeed, madam, but a greater shame to not to be able to write them at all.

[identity profile] accountsettled.livejournal.com 2011-04-06 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Nothing, madam, only that you value your ability to write freely.

[identity profile] accountsettled.livejournal.com 2011-04-06 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Then you are fortunate for being able to stave off their intentions to remove it.

Formerly, that of a soldier. Now, that of a father.

[identity profile] accountsettled.livejournal.com 2011-04-06 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
'Tis merely that of my history. I long stopped being a soldier before I became a father.

[identity profile] accountsettled.livejournal.com 2011-04-06 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Aye. She is here with me, and you should most likely meet her.

[identity profile] accountsettled.livejournal.com 2011-04-06 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I am confident that time has not moved for her. She knows not of our absence, and never will.

So her welfare remains well attended to, I assure thee.

[identity profile] accountsettled.livejournal.com 2011-04-06 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I serve naught but my own principle, and my wife and daughter.

[identity profile] accountsettled.livejournal.com 2011-04-06 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I do believe that oddness is called love, madam.

[identity profile] accountsettled.livejournal.com 2011-04-06 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps, madam, but it is most worth it. Undoubtedly so.

[identity profile] accountsettled.livejournal.com 2011-04-07 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Then I do feel quite sorry for thee, for it is the one experience in my life which I shall never, ever regret or run from.

[identity profile] accountsettled.livejournal.com 2011-04-07 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
You cannot dissuade me of this, madam.
