And so, I find myself returned to the Admiral's bosom... A scant few changes, here and there, yet still incompetence persists. A situation common to most kingdoms, it seems.

Tell me, am I to expect the same ritual humiliation as persisted during my previous visitation? I have so missed the opportunity to awake and discover I possess another's body or gills where none should be... Still, some prices are worth paying - just. A lesson, I am sure, which shall be sorely tested before my time here is at an end, once more.

[And there it ends... Of course, being Morrigan, she's no idea her Claudia Black-alike voice might be mistaken for certain previous residents aboard ship.]

Tested, that's a good way to put it. Of course, I can understand--he is paying us pretty well. I'd be pretty suspicious if it was easy to get from here to a graduated inmate.

Pride, more than principle. Most people don't really give thought to ethics, just to whatever strokes the ego.

Perhaps... Or laziness. I remember a charge of mine, while here, who felt spite would propel him forth. An idea I was only too glad to help dissuade him of.

I've seen people lash out, but it's mostly out of frustration or fear. Once they settle in, they give it up, unless they have some other moral code to follow.
